Leather_tools This form runs four weeks and each form is 2hrs.

Form fee is $179 plus a $65 materials fee (All leather, dye, polish, lacing, snaps, trigger hooks, rivets, closures and buckles are included for this course!)
Total = $244 +HST

****Delight NOTE: Leather materials fees will not be charged during online registration. All materials fee'due south will be owed upon checkin for your outset class.

Course Outline:

Class I: Leather central chains, cord keepers, and/or bracelets.

  • Identifying different types or leather and appropriate uses
  • Identifying different weights of leather
  • Identifying leather tools (this will be covered through out the class every bit they are used)
  • Using patterns, mark and cutting tools to cut out your projects
  • Punching holes
  • Custom stamping your project
  • Dying your leather
  • Supplies (provided) – Of the 3 projects listed, students will brand two, any combination.
    • Vegetable Tanned Leather
    • Leather Dye
    • Leather Oil
    • Snaps, rivets, D-rings and/or trigger hooks

Form Two: Stop Starting time Projects and showtime your Manus Stitched Case

Options for the case include: Clutch, Small Device Case, Centre Glasses Case, Fanny Pack (combined with belt project), Passport Example, Bill of fare Holder, or Beak Fold.

  • Finish Project 1: Apply oil
  • Add Snaps, rivets, D- rings and/or trigger Hooks
  • Start Project 2: Cut out leather case, or card holder of your choosing
  • Bevel and finish edges
  • Larn to use the grooving tool
  • Postage and dye your leather
  • Case supplies (all supplies are provided)
    • iii-4 oz Vegetable Tanned Cowhide
    • Leather dye
    • Nylon Waxed Lacing Thread
    • Botton Stud or Snap closure
    • Leather Oil
    • Leather Finish

Class Three: Showtime your Belt or Neckband

  • Kickoff your Belt or Collar: Using the strap cutter and the billet cutter
  • Marking and punching holes
  • Bevelling and finishing edges
  • Using the skiving knife
  • Stamping your Belt
  • Dyeing Leather
  • Chugalug Making Supplies (provided)
    • Vegetable Tanned Cowhide (seven-8oz.)
    • Leather Dye
    • Buckle
    • Rivets
    • Leather Oil
    • Leather Stop

 Four: Finish your Belt/Neckband and Hand Stitched Instance

  • Finish Chugalug / Collar:
  • Oiling and putting a finishing on your belt
  • Attaching buckles
  • Installing rivets using the printing
  • Finish Example:
  • Punching keyhole and attaching push button stud
  • Punching and matching holes for hand stitching
  • Larn 2 different styles of hand stitching, utilise one or bother to lace your instance
  • Oiling and Finishing your case!
  • Showing off your new plant skills to all your friends and family
